Tayo Hassan

 

Call to Bar: 2010

 

Tayo has worked in the Criminal Justice System for 20 years. She started by working in the Crown Prosecution Service as a caseworker then serving as a Prosecutor from 2005, undertaking all manner of prosecution work ranging from low level offences to the most serious including violence, drug, sex offences and murder.

 

Tayo read law at the University of Hertfordshire attaining a 2:1 LLB Honours Law Degree whilst working in a full-time role and then received a Call to the Bar in 2010.

 

Tayo prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court and has achieved a great success rate with acquittals in a variety of offences including, robbery violence, weapons, drugs and sex cases.  

 

Currently, Tayo prosecutes and defends and applies herself with equal vigour to either requirement. Tayo has also appeared in the Court of Appeal and achieved successful outcomes on a number of occasions for appeal against sentence cases.
