Justin Bearman was called to the Bar in 1992 and was a co-founding member of Castle Chambers, now holding his place on Chambers management committee.
He is a highly experienced Leading Junior Counsel and practices at all levels of the Criminal Justice System, conducting hearings both on behalf of the Prosecution and the Defence.
Justin regularly appears in the Crown Courts of England dealing with criminal matters over the whole spectrum of criminal law including Murder, Serious Sexual Offences, Armed Robberies and large scale drug importations. He has appeared in all capacities both as led and leading counsel in cases which regularly attract the attention of the media.
He has well recognised experience in dealing with cases involving complicated forensic evidence, matters involving computer evidence and all levels of disclosure. His expertise in relation to Computers and IT is based upon his experience in computer software development.
He has vast experience in dealing with cell site evidence and its intricate examination and presentation.
He has received many commendations for his sensitive manner with young witnesses leading to his continual instruction in sexual offences involving young and vulnerable witnesses.
He regularly is asked to advise on intricate cases by many specialist divisions of the Police service e.g. SOCA, Flying Squad, in conjunction with the Crown Prosecution Service and similarly with Defence Solicitors.
Justin has also been involved in a number of Courts-martial matters advising on the merits and evidence relating to offences within the armed forces of England and Wales.
