Mark Kimsey has been Head of Chambers since its inception. He is a highly respected specialist Criminal Practitioner, whose practice incorporates mainly defence work and the prosecution of serious sex offences.

He has specialized in contracted cases since the inception of the VHCC scheme as both leading and junior counsel.

His practice incorporates all areas of crime, but his particular specialties include white-collar fraud (Serious Fraud Office, HM Customs and Excise), Proceeds of Crime, drug conspiracies (Intrusive surveillance) and all offences of violence.

He is regularly instructed in a wide variety of work including murder, kidnapping, rape, armed robbery and attempted murder.

He regularly defends Courts Martial and also prosecutes on behalf of the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT).

R-v-XIN LI

Money laundering conspiracy valued at over £7m – directly connected with the contravention of the Copyright Design and Patents Act 1988 and the Trade Marks Act 1994. DVD Factories were said to have been set up for use by an illegal Chinese immigrant workforce. [The largest seizure in Western Europe, to date, of counterfeit DVDs.]
