Criminal Prosecution


John has been prosecuting trials and appeals for a number of years. Presently, John is a Grade 3 prosecutor on the Crown Prosecution Service panel. He has developed an expertise which resulted in his being instructed in allegations relating to a variety immigration offences at the Isleworth Crown Court (from Heathrow airport) and other courts. Many of these cases have involved dealing with legal argument on novel points raised by the defence. On one occasion he dealt with legal argument related to the United Nations Convention on the Treatment of Refugees mounted by 19 defence advocates in joined abuse argument.

His ability to understand scientific evidence has resulted in his being instructed in a variety of serious case including causing death by dangerous driving and serious assaults.

Additionally, John’s experience in dealing with vulnerable victims and witnesses has been employed in many serious cases of violent and sexual offences.
